What each sport actually offers.
Coverage differs by sport and a sport tab promises nothing on its own. NFL has published picks in passing and receiving yards. NCAAF and NHL have no published picks. NBA has nothing to show yet. Read the row for the sport you care about rather than the tab.
NFL
Published picks: passing yards and receiving yards. A published pick is recorded before the event with its terms and its evidence.
Paper or research only: rushing yards, receptions. These are locked and graded privately or shown as research, and they are never counted in the model record.
Results: A running record of picks locked before kickoff, with results graded retrospectively reported separately and never added into it.
Publication schedule: Confirmed. Thursday games lock at 12:00 PM ET / 9:00 AM PT, Sunday games together at 10:00 AM ET / 7:00 AM PT, Monday games at 12:00 PM ET / 9:00 AM PT, and never later than two hours before kickoff.
NCAAF
Published picks: none. Nothing in this sport is published as a Tikata pick today.
Paper or research only: rushing yards, receiving yards. These are locked and graded privately or shown as research, and they are never counted in the model record.
Results: Two weekly paper records, one on a two-book standard and one on a weaker one-book standard, counted separately and never added together. Neither had locked a pick as of the review date. A dated research record from September 26 is readable.
Publication schedule: Confirmed. A game can lock only in the three hours before its scheduled start, from a forecast frozen at least 24 hours earlier. A new pick appears within about 10 minutes of locking. Results follow the next successful collection after the game.
NBA
Published picks: none. Nothing in this sport is published as a Tikata pick today.
Paper or research: none.
Results: None. Tikata has no NBA picks, paper record or research to show.
Publication schedule: Not confirmed, and the season does not open until late October.
NHL
Published picks: none. Nothing in this sport is published as a Tikata pick today.
Paper or research only: shots on goal, goals, assists, points. These are locked and graded privately or shown as research, and they are never counted in the model record.
Results: A paper record for opening games, shown in full and labelled as paper. It is outside the model record and is never counted in it.
Publication schedule: Not confirmed. The paper record covers opening games rather than a standing schedule.
What a sport tab does not tell you
Selecting a sport does not establish that a pick exists, that a market is covered or that a price is current. Check the event, player, market, recorded terms and observation time on the record itself.
Where a sport shows nothing, that is a statement about what Tikata has, not a view about the games. No published pick is not evidence that every possible selection was evaluated and rejected.
Reading a market name exactly
A forecast for one statistic is not a forecast for another. Receiving yards and receptions are different markets, and one of them is published while the other is not. Read the exact market on each selection rather than the sport.
